I’m a writer, actor, and freelance literary consultant based in New York City. In 2018 I moved to LA to pursue acting, but COVID changed my pIans and I relocated to London to complete an MSc in Criminology (I have a background in Psychology). When I returned to NYC in 2022, I found my way into publishing, which was a natural fit since I had been working freelance for literary agencies for years. This year, I’ve gotten back into acting, which has been exciting and fulfilling. So, now I spend my days split between these creative pursuits, working on personal writing projects, and helping authors refine their proposals for a non-fiction literary agency. But most importantly, you can find me with my rescue dog, Gary, the best boy.
Can you share a project or accomplishment you’re particularly proud of?
I’m still working on my short story collection, which has been a long, evolving project. It’s something I’ve put a lot of heart into, and it explores themes of loneliness, identity, and psychological tension, all of which reflect my love for dark, character-driven stories. Though it’s not finished yet, I’m proud of the progress I’ve made and the dedication it takes to keep pushing forward with it. I’ve also been writing a book forever and it keeps changing and changing. But one day I will finish it!
What is something you’re passionate about outside of work or your main responsibilities?
I’m passionate about reading and discovering new literature, especially fiction. It’s a lifelong love (goes all the way back to the elementary school Scholastic book fair) that feeds my creativity and provides endless inspiration for my own work. Beyond that, I’m always exploring the intersection of art, fashion, travel, and lifestyle—I’ve done several solo trips throughout my life, and I value the sense of independence and reflection that comes with those experiences. There’s something thrilling about going to the airport alone and feeling completely anonymous. Also, in love with – all animals, films, language, long walks to get yourself out of a mood, pizza, sushi, trash reality tv and bad lifetime movies, the holidays, swimming in the sea, my family <3
If you could give your past self a piece of advice, what would it be?
Hmm…I would tell my younger self to ‘trust the process’ and not be so focused on immediate results. Creativity and success don’t follow a straight path, and sometimes the detours are what lead you to the most fulfilling moments. From experience, the moments of discomfort and heartbreak have always led to the greatest growth. Also, and this is something I still struggle with, but I’d advise not to compare your journey to others’. Everyone is on their own path, and it’s important to trust the timing of your life rather than getting caught up in where others are (very difficult when you see friends/family/strangers who are seemingly eons ahead of where you perceive yourself to be).
What are some signature pieces or styles that define your personal fashion identity?
My personal style is very much aligned with minimalist fashion, with a focus on neutral tones and clean, sophisticated silhouettes. I lean towards a mix of tomboy elements and other times like to go complete ‘femme fatale’ vibes. I’m drawn to timeless pieces—well-tailored coats, sleek boots, and understated accessories that make a subtle statement. This fall/winter, I’m especially excited for colder weather so I can wear my new Tom Ford for Gucci shearling coat, which I had absolutely no business buying! I justify it because it’s something I’ll wear forever. Girl math.
