My name is Julia and I am from the south of Spain. Even though I’m a graduate in fashion design, I am a full time tattoo artist in NYC and I feel like I couldn’t be in a better place to explore and learn from both of my passions.
Can you share a project or accomplishment you’re particularly proud of?
I think that getting out of my comfort zone and the environment that felt safe has given me the opportunity to be in this amazing city doing what I love surrounded by incredible people. Im proud of taking that chance that has brought me here.
What is something you’re passionate about outside of work or your main responsibilities?
I really enjoy fashion, I love everything from the creating process of a garment to just watching people pass by on the street using their clothes to express themselves. I have to admit I haven’t created much fashion lately because my head is very focused on tattoos right now, but it’s definitely something that will always be a part of me.
If you could give your past self a piece of advice, what would it be?
Keep going, all that effort is going to be worth it.
What are some signature pieces or styles that define your personal fashion identity?
I cannot leave the house without a necklace on, most of the times is a chunky silver chain with something interesting going on. Also, bags and shoes are my obsession, specially black chunky platform boots. I wish I could wear them everyday!
